Spirit of Life,
You who body forth as our starry universe
and this luminous, blue-green planet:
Today you shine forth from the faces of the children
who are taking to the streets,
clear-headed and clear-eyed,
to demand that adults act like adults
and take responsibility
for the mess we have made.
Children of all colors and all genders
all ethnicities and all nations
all cultures and all creeds—ALL—
are rising up
together.
They hear Your urgent call
to protect life
and they are acting on it.
May we adults gather our own strength
and our own courage
and do likewise.
Let this be the day everything changes.
